The Obsidian Residence

An outwardly reserved residence opens inward to a sequence of planted courts. Deep overhangs temper the tropical sun, while a warm timber threshold marks the transition from street to sanctuary.

The proposal brings concrete, dark stone and natural wood into a restrained dialogue. Light travels across the surfaces throughout the day, lending movement to an otherwise still composition.
